Circus Resources for Schools
When you book a Circus Smirkus Residency,
we send along a curriculum package to help you plan
for the residency. We provide materials to
help you incorporate circus into every part of your
curriculum. We also send materials to help you continue
exploring the adventure of circus long after the Smirko-in-residence
has pulled up stakes and moved on to the next town.
The links below allow you to download some of our
Circus Smirkus Residency materials for general use
outside of the Residency itself. It's not the complete
Residency package, but it'll tell you where to buy
rigging equipment, how to throw together a clown costume,
who started the first "modern" circus (and when),
what Aba-daba means along with a lot of
other fun and useful information to get you and your
students started with circus.
